This custom crib set comes with a Nu-Foam bumper. My customer R. D. provided the Nu-Foam insert. This type of foam is made by Fairfield and has great features: it is washable, fire retardant, hypoallergenic and unlike most types of foam, it does not turn yellow overtime.
So I made a double-sided Nu-foam bumper. The piping and ties are made
using a green dot fabric. It contrasts well with the navy blue fabric I
used for the outside of the bumper and blends right with the green stripe fabric
I used for the inside.
The comforter is reversible: one side in a blue stripe fabric, the other side in the same green stripe I used for the inside of the bumper.
The 18" dust ruffle is gathered using a blue stripe cotton fabric on top and the same navy blue I used to make the outside of the bumper.
Again, the piping is in the same green dot fabric. Since the top fabric is rather lightweight, I
was requested to line the dust ruffle.
